“How shall I pray? Are tears prayers, Lord? Are screams prayers, or groans or sighs or curses? Can trembling hands be lifted to you, or clenched fists or the cold sweat that trickles down my back or the cramps that knot my stomach? Will you accept my prayers, Lord, my real prayers, rooted in the muck and mud and rock of my life, and not just the pretty cut-flower gracefully arranged boquet of words? Will you accept me Lord, as I really am, messed up mixture of glory and grime?”

For the past two years we’ve been wanting to install a permanent outdoor sign at the Chapel to promote our ministry. Thanks to God’s blessings and your generous support during the bitter months of January & February, we now have the money to go ahead and purchase the sign.

The consensus among the deacons is that we need a fresh tag line to replace “moving forward & reaching out.” Something that better communicates who we are as a church and also motivates people to want to come visit. Since the tag line will be permanently engraved in the sign we want it to be perfect–otherwise we plan to just leave it off the sign and only engrave the church name, phone # & web site. The lower portion of the sign will have the flexibility we need to promote service times and specific events.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a new tag line?
