Youth
This fall we are kicking off the Chapel’s Youth Ministry for Students in 7th – 12th grades. Students will meet twice a month on Sunday afternoons. Immediately following the morning worship service, students will gather in the Community room and share lunch together. It won’t be anything fancy, but probably a little better than the school cafeteria. After lunch, teens will enjoy fun games, challenging Bible studies, and interactive discussions. Our theme for this fall is “Where Worldviews Collide” where we will explore the differences between different religions of the world and how Christianity stands apart from all of the rest.
Scott and Tonia Skakalski (The Chapel’s newest newlyweds) will be leading the group. Scott is a full-time counselor for Mid-Atlantic Services in Emlenton, PA, which is a lock-down unit for teenage boys. Scott is a former shop teacher and has aspirations of being an “Ultimate Fight Champion.” So warning to the guys: be on your best behavior or Scott might take you to work with him! Tonia has a deep passion for world missions, coordinates a regional “Perspectives” mission class, and has served on several short-term trips to Pakistan. Tonia works full-time as an OB/GYN for Grove City Medical Center, so if she has to rush out to deliver a baby we will be sure to have another female leader step in for her.Come on out and join in the fun. If you don’t know anyone, just bring a friend with you.
All meeting dates and times as well as special activities will be posted on the web calendar and also each week in the bulletin.
